TRC Ordinance: Our attorney agreed with me that the amendments purposed to the TRC ordinance would create a loophole for Sidewalks, Curbs and Gutter Waivers. Councilman Ajay Patil also agreed with my assessment.

In sum, since 2006 (Choi era amendments) the TRC was a body with Zoning and Planning board members, authority was then subsequently given to decide Sidewalks, Curbs and Gutters waivers in January of 2007. My issues was, if we are going to roll back the TRC ordinance to the pre-Choi era, then we need to give the Sidewalks, Curbs and Gutters waiver authority back to the Planning Board. It is common sense that we cannot have someone from the administration "administrative officer" with these planning board decision powers.

I am humbled to have saved a small part of the TRC for the residents at my first regular meeting and I also again thank Councilman Ajay Patil for his guidance.
